What has the fashion world come to!? Today the newest addition to my Upper East Side neighborhood was the Red Carpet Grand Opening of the H&M store on 86th between Lexington & 3rd Ave. At 10am this morning, the loooong line stretched down the block around 3rd ave with eager shoppers and their umbrellas. Early bird shoppers were treated to a free breakfast and live music by their in-store DJ. The mood was definitely upbeat despite the dreary weather outside. Grand opening sales were found all over the store as well as a selection of limited edition t-shirts by guest designers. A noticeable selection of merchandise catered to the “snotty” upper east side clientele with more work clothes and “tailored” clothing in stock. I wouldn’t exactly rock an H&M suit to my parties but I can’t go wrong with their $10 vneck tees and fresh fedoras. If you’re in the mood to mix and match then H&M is a sure hit to my hood and YOUR wardrobe!

Happy shopping!
