Honda Racing and design takes a bold leap forward with this exotic prototype which borrows esthetic designs reminiscent of Italian and German supercars like Lamborghini, Ferrari and my beloved mid engine Porsche!  I hope this beauty makes it to the manufacturing plant to give some of favorite Euros a run for the money.  Best of all…it’ll costs thousands less because at the end of the day…it’s still a Honda.

The Honda RA-X Concept from designer Xuacu Pérez Quesada was developed as a credible vehicle that would be fit for production with currently available technology and systems. The concept was designed to mark Honda’s presence in motorsports, and hence carries the letters RA.

The exterior of the concept shows smooth, crossing lines that form a theoretical “X,” and the engine on the mid-engine sportscar remains visible through the glass covering. The rear shows prominent engine vents and LED tail-lamps arranged in a triangular shape. The design is dominated by steep ridges, but its smooth surfaces add dynamism to the model. It measures at length 4050 / height 1163 / 1940 width. The two-seater has a 350hp MR engine supplying power to the rear wheels.
